East Hampton Antiques Show July 22 – 24 – A Design Treat
Some of the best shopping this weekend is at the East Hampton Antiques Show at Mulford Farm to benefit the East Hampton Historical Society. All different design periods are represented with chic items ranging from indoor and outdoor furniture to fine art, jewelry and even an amazing captain’s costume that would make Johnny Depp jealous.
We saw vendors from all over the US and even London as well as some of our favorite local shops like Kitty Clay from Southampton. Aerin Lauder is the Honorary Chairperson and has some of her beautiful goods there as well. Be sure to have a conversation with these knowledgeable vendors who often also work in the appraising or restoring business. There are many great stories in these pieces – far more interesting than Pottery Barn!
The show is a wonderful throw back to civility and the only place a distinguished gentleman can rock Bermuda shorts with pink knee socks. Get me a Pim’s cocktail!
Shop without guilt as you are supporting a great cause and keeping our valuable East Hampton history alive.
