In a Hamptons Social Season, Bridgehampton Polo opening day is a bit like Christmas.  And yes, Santa is delivering a pony or a whole team of polo ponies, some of the most accomplished athletes on the planet.  Opening Day of Bridgehampton Polo 2014 starts a whole new stylish stick an ball game July 19 hosted by Town & Country Magazine.  Here is the inside scoop:

Bridgehampton Polo Club (849 Hayground Road)is pleased to announce Opening Day on July 19, 2014, hosted by Town & Country Magazine, with sponsors including Lancôme Paris, Jet Edge, Escada, Joie, Casablanca Polo and Sunbrella. Polo icon Nacho Figueras will be back in the saddle playing the first match for Bash Kazi’s KIG team against Peter Brant’s White Birch team.

“Opening day will kick off our 18th season of high-goal polo played by the world’s top-ranked players,” said Brant, founder of Bridgehampton Polo Club. “Nacho Figueras will be back again playing this season and he has always been a wonderful ambassador for the sport of polo and Bridgehampton Polo Club in particular.” “I’m thrilled to be playing at Bridgehampton again this summer,” said Figueras. “There’s nothing like playing polo in the Hamptons – where the top players, charities and top brands come together under the tent. I’m looking forward to a competitive season ahead.” 

Bridgehampton Polo 2014

The Bridgehampton Polo season will take place on six consecutive Saturdays, spanning from July 19 through August 23, 2014, at the breathtaking Two Trees Farm.  In addition to the KIG and White Birch teams, Joe DiMenna’s Equuleus and Alessandro Bazzoni’s CT Energia will be playing this season with top international players such as Nick Roldan, Magoo Laprida, as well as Mariano Aguerre and Hilario Ulloa who both were on the winning team of the recent U.S. Open.  While the fast-paced sport is the primary focus at Bridgehampton Polo Club, the quintessential VIP experience will now be available all season long. On Opening Day,Town & Country Publisher Jennifer Levene Bruno, will host the beautifully outfitted T&C VIP tent, under which guests will enjoy an unprecedented polo experience while mixing and mingling with some of the world’s top luxury brands. Invited guests will also enjoy a delectable reception, featuring passed hors d’oeuvres, French desserts and exclusive wines from Spire Collection.

In addition to the VIP tent that will be hosting companies and charitable organizations all six Saturdays, a limited number of private, field-side 10 x 10 tailgate tents will also be available for purchase throughout the Season.
