Hamptons Style has a new destination and it’s the 2nd Annual Holiday House Hamptons Presented by Hamptons Cottages & Gardens.   For anyone who hasn’t seen the amazing re-incarnation of the Bulova Watchcase Factory you must visit the super chic new loft condos and townhouses at Watchcase Sag Harbor (the development is already 60% sold out.)  The show house will be open to the public daily through Monday Sept. 1st and proceeds will benefit The Breast Cancer Research Foundation®.

Founder and Co-Chair Iris Dankner gave a rousing and personal speech at the opening.  The vibrant 17-year breast cancer survivor who combined her interior design skills with passion for a cause described her own body’s “reconstruction” at the same time as the reconstruction of this building.  In her conversations with the local workers, a few recounted their own mother’s and grandmother’s battle with breast cancer and created a solemn bond that so many families on Long Island share.

Dankner with her ID Creations along with other top interior designers transformed different condos and bungalows to do the voodoo that they do, and the results are stunning.

My favorite is Campion Platt’s master bedroom or this case let’s say mistress’ bedroom.

Campion Platt

Designed for a bold and independent Hamptons woman the vibrant, sexy, and luxurious room features a crowning glory lily wallpaper from De Gournay  with accents like a mirror, bedside table lamps and stacking vases by Kitty Clay and a playful suede whip and Fifty Shades of Grey on the West Elm bedside table.

This was fifty shades of bright fabulousness, and I wanted every item from Michelle Farmer Collaborate in the walk-in closet down to the sequin shorts.

A den in shades of turquoise and sapphire (including a bar with said name Gin) from Jon Bjornen Design also caught my fancy.  Elegant and comfortable I wanted to snuggle up with a dry martini and a hot date to watch the world cup finals.

The bedroom by Tamara Magel added a note of whimsy with the framed “just another thing hanging over my head” plaster picture.  West Chin used vibrant pink in his living room including artwork from Paul Villinski, butterflies made from crushed beer cans, the ultimate metamorphosis.

Scent can be just as enticing as sight and Milly de Cabrol and Ani Antreasyan created a perfect terrace for alfresco dining scented by lavender and rosemary.

There is plenty to admire in this show house with incredible talent and it is also a chance to see what Cape Advisors has created in developing a modern version of living in a historic village with resort-style condominiums.  For more information about sales please contact www.watchcasefactory.com.
