If you haven’t been to the Watermill Center you are missing one of the amazing artistic treasures of the Hamptons.  International artists use the center as a creative retreat to pursue their crafts and audiences are invited for performances and works in progress.  On Sunday August 11, 2013 from 3 – 6pm you are invited to their annual open house with free admission to the public.  Open your mind and get ready for an experience.

Discover Watermill is a unique opportunity to meet artists from over 30 countries all participating in The Watermill Center’s International Summer Program. Tours of The Center, Robert Wilson’s Watermill Collection, and the eight and a half acres of beautifully landscaped grounds featuring outdoor sculptures and artifacts will take place throughout the day. Enter the grounds through the formal entrance on Water Mill Towd Road and enjoy many of the installations and performances created for DEVIL’S HEAVEN: The 20th Annual Watermill Center Summer Benefit held on July 27.

In addition there will be:

a children’s art workshop led by Watermill international artists

new installations and performances by artists from
Japan, Romania, Greece, India, US, Italy, Germany, France, Spain, Sweden,
South Korea, Russia, and Brazil

a staging workshop lead by Robert Wilson of his production of
La Traviata that will premiere in Madrid in 2015

tours of The Watermill Center’s special exhibitions:

currated by Harald Falckenberg and Tony Guerrero
