Harvest East End – Saturday August 25th 6p to 9p

Here is the food version of speed dating. No need to commit because you have so many delicious options of local food and wine from top chefs and vintners. Benefitting the Group For The East End, Peconic Land Trust, and East End Hospice this epicurean festival is a true delight. Be sure to check out their amazing silent auction and raffle. Organized by Merliance and the Long Island Wine Council and presented by Wine Spectator, Harvest East End will be the foodie destination, held this year at the Hampton Classic.

The Hampton Classic August 26th to September 2

This premiere equestrian event has everything from adorable pony hunters to the top show jumpers in the world just returned from the Olympic Games. Running from 8am to 5pm daily you will see hunters, jumpers and equitation. You can make a day of it shopping in the boutiques and having a glass of Louis Roderer champagne ringside.

Saturday Sept. 1st is Optimum® Kids Day with pony rides, face painting, a family circus, magic tricks and all sorts of animals.

Sunday Sept. 2nd at 2pm is the event highlight, the $250,000 FTI Grand Prix where the top riders will compete over a challenging jumping course for top prize money. It is the who’s who in the VIP Tent where the tables are as dressed up as the women. There are also grandstand seats available for viewing.

The Hamptons International Film Festival Summer Doc “Ethel” – Sept. 1st

As part of its summer documentary series, HIFF will be presenting Ethel at Guild Hall in East Hampton. Alec Baldwin will be on hand to interview filmmaker Rory Kennedy. Ethel is an affectionate look at Rory’s mother and serves as both a testament to the power of family and a fascinating look at some of the momentous historical moments of the 50’s and 60’s. Azuero Earth Project – Azuero On The Harbor – Sept. 1

Held at the Springs harbor front home of artist Cindy Sherman, the inaugural fundraising event with feature a picnic of tapas and cocktails with an art auction and performances by Rufus Wainwright, Laurie Anderson, Ruben Blades and Luba Mason. The organization was founded to preserve the earth’s ecosystems and promote healthy living communities.
