Thanksgiving Weekend in the Hamptons
When the tryptophan haze wears off, you’ve successfully buried Aunt Rosemary’s fruit cake in the back yard, and you’re ready to put on your expandable waist pants and venture out into the world, the Hamptons have plenty to offer this weekend. East Hampton Historical Society 2011 House Tour
The East Hampton Historical Society showcases both historic and modern architecture in the Hamptons on its very popular house tour now in its 27th year. It’s a great chance to see inside some of the most coveted residences in the Hamptons. The tour which consists of five unique homes is on Saturday November 26th from 1pm – 4:30pm.
The event has a great sophisticated cocktail party on Friday November 25th held in the historic Charles H. Adams House in East Hampton Village built in 1891.
Tickets to the Opening Night Cocktail Party start at $150 and include entry to the tour the following day. Tickets to the House Tour are $65 in advance and $75 on the day of the tour. Both are on sale via:

Southampton Parrish Art Museum’s Parrish Presents
Come enjoy this three day fundraiser with cocktail party Friday night and great shopping with a market, silent auction and gift bazaar on Saturday and Sunday. The preview cocktail party on Friday from 5pm – 8pm will also host various book signings. The halls open to the public on Saturday 11am – 5pm and Sunday 11am – 4pm with retailers offering unique items of clothing, accessories, art, and home décor. There’s also a market brimming with second hand treasures and a silent auction with priceless antiques, jewelry, and luxury home and designer accessories.
Tickets for cocktail party start at $125 – shopping is open to the public $5 per person.

Book Signing to Benefit Haiti Saturday Nov. 26th
Lily In The Sky With Kindness, the fearless story of Lily, the dauntless dachshund who travels with her human companion Jonathan Glynn, (both of Sag Harbor), to earthquake stricken Haiti to aid in disaster relief, will be celebrated at a community book signing event hosted by Sylvester & Co. on Main Street in Sag Harbor on Saturday, Nov. 26 on Thanksgiving Weekend.
The book signing reception, to be held from 5 to 8 p.m. at Sylvester & Co. on Main Street in Sag Harbor, will feature a “paw signing” by Lily herself and pilot/companion Jonathan Nash Glynn, as well as readings by members of Karma Kids, a Sag Harbor based youth group dedicated to philanthropic endeavors.
A companion community event dubbed “Hamburgers for Haiti” will kick off the day’s events at Bay Burger in Sag Harbor from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Youngsters and their families are encouraged to attend prior to the book signing later in the afternoon at Sylvester & Co.

Families with young children are welcome (or encouraged) to join Lily on all three stops of her book tour of Sag Harbor.

Expect a tremendous turnout November 26 for this weekend’s much-anticipated favorite act New Life Crisis (photo attached) with special guest singer Frank Vestry. It’s live music from 9 – midnight then a DJ spinning away. No cover before 11pm.
