Gentlemen, are you looking for the last stop of civility in the Hamptons?  We’ve found it.  Southampton Inn is hosting the ultimate Hamptons golf guys getaway (yes golfing gals you will want in on this too), Steer, Scotch, Sticks, & Stogies.  The two day package gets you teed up with life’s great pleasures on Thursday June 24 and Friday June 25.  For all you men who feel forgotten in the Prosecco sipping, designer shoe shopping, tofu tasting Hamptons events, this one is for you.

Here’s your mission should you choose to accept:

Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in the Southampton Inn’s outside courtyard followed by an indulgent five-course, steak-scotch pairing dinner.  The Inn’s OSO Restaurant Executive Chef Bryan Naylor has pulled out all the steak stops accented by wines from Macari Vineyard.

Fine hand-rolled cigars from Southampton’s Besims, The Dalmore’s finest and most mature Scotch, The 50, (only 242 bottles are available worldwide) and an overnight stay at the Southampton Inn are included.  Enjoy without having to drive… until the next day of course when your drive better be at least 300 yards to save your par.

The next morning you will be whisked to the famous Robert Trent Jones’ designed Long Island National Golf Club course for a full round of golf with driving range privileges and cart.  Jones describes the experience, “It is a traditional heartland golf course, buffered by sea breezes fresh off the North Fork, and playing across the open savannah landscape.”

The price for the package is $499 including all taxes and services, and if you only want to indulge in the fabulous food, wine, and scotch pairing dinner it is $155 plus tax and service.

Richard Plutzer of The Dalmore, which knows a thing or two about history with its Single Highland Malt Whiskies since 1839, feels this event will start a new gentlemen’s tradition, “Steer, Scotch, Sticks & Stogies is an event that references tradition but doesn’t take itself too seriously.”
