Stephen Talkhouse – A Live Music Must

Submitted by on October 5, 2009 – 7:46 amNo Comment

Stephen Talkhouse is going to be jamming this week and weekend, not only being the official late night watering hole for the Hamptons Film Festival, but featuring some favorite bands and fantastic newcomers.

Thursday Oct. 8 at 10pm:

PERROTTA is a fashionable pop rock trio that combines songwriting aptitude with a grand and sweeping soundscape. The band features Sarah Perrotta: Rhodes piano, Moog synthesizer, and voice; Johnnie Wang: guitar and voice; and Will Olsen: drums. With their romantic melodies and driving rhythms, Perrotta’s sound evokes an array of influences such as The Cure, Sigur Ros, Jeff Buckley, and Portishead. Perrotta has scheduled a January 2010 release date for their album “Tonight”.

When you wake up in the morning with a pink feather from a boa you wore and a strange strained muscle from so much booty shaking you know you’ve been at a NANCY ATLAS concert the night before.  Her eneregy is contagious with her bit of Southern Comfort served on American Rocks.  The golden girl brings her talented band of merry musicians to bring down the house.  A loyal entourrage always shows up so go early and bring your kick ass attitude.

BOOGA SUGAR puts the P in Party, being reffered to as the “ultimate 70’s rock disco band,” and if you can’t get up and dance to their groove then you’ve got no soul.  It’s a high energy perfromance with your favorite songs in a fresh new manner.
