Monday Night Drum Circle at The Beach

Sagg Main DrummersOn Monday nights Sagg Main Beach in Sagaponack turns into a magical mystery tour of locals and special respectful visitors to enjoy a fantastic drum corp as the sun sets behind the dunes at about 7pm.  This is a spontaneous gathering – not hosted by anyone – bring your own everything – child, dog, picnic, hula hoop.  If you come, please note the rules: (NOTE – no drumming on Monday Aug 3)

  • Don’t park like an idiot – look at the signs and stay out of the way.  Emergency vehicles have to be able to get through or the whole thing gets shut down.
  • What you take in you take out.  No littering or leaving ill behaved children or PMS girlfriends behind.
  • Do show appreciation for the drummers.  You can book them for parties and pay these talented musicians.
  • Don’t drink and drive.  You can always call Lilybug who we wrote about.
  • Do bring an instrument or body part to shake.
  • Don’t bother any nesting Piping Plover.  They are having difficulty procreating and we’re hoping the sexy drum music will help them get it on.
  • Do introduce yourself to the hottie on the blanket next to you.  Leave quickly when her husband arrives.
  • Do connect to that inner primal beat and let the cares of the world melt away.
  • Dance.  You won’t look half as stupid as the person next to you.
